Mount Jordan

When I first started teaching, I was teaching Reading and Social Studies to 7th grade students. After a few years, the team I was on began developing a Gifted / Talented program. I began teaching Computer Programming in 1982 using Commodore Computers. I wrote my first computer program, (a gradebook program) so that I could learn the skill and so that I could use the computer to keep track of my grades. I soon found my self swamped helping other teachers learn to use computers and developing ways to incorporate them into my reading and History curriculums. I stayed at Mount Jordan until June of 1989. At this time, we had no networks so the teachers and students were working alone.
