Becoming a teacher...

Joyce and I decided that I should probably become a teacher. I had been an instructor while at both Luke A.F.B. and King Salmon. I enjoyed teaching and seemed to be pretty good at it.

I applied to the U of Utah's Ed Phych department and decided to get a minor in Secondary Reading Diagnosis and Remediation. I completed the program in June of 1979. I got 2 job offers, one on a Navaho Reservation in Ship Rock and the other in Las Vegas. We decided to go to Las Vegas. A couple of days before we were to leave, I got a call from Mt. Jordan Middle School in Sandy, Utah offering a job. I decided to take that one. Not sure it was the best choice.
